Job Description:

The Brewery Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, overseeing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring smooth financial operations. This part-time position (24 hours per week) requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Accounts Receivable & Payable: Manage invoicing, track payments, process vendor invoices, and follow up on overdue accounts.

- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

- Sales Tax & Compliance: Prepare and file GST/HST returns, AGLC, and Federal Excise reports accurately and on time.

- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and reconciliations.

- Bank & Cash Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile daily transactions.

- Payroll Support: Assist with processing payroll if required.

- Record Keeping: Maintain organized financial records.

- Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors regarding payments and account status.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales, production, and management teams.

 

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in the brewery, food, or beverage industry.

- Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Google Workspace.

- Familiarity with BREWW or other brewery management software is a plus.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
